2024 Event Schedule
WE SOON GOT PROUD
April 5-7, 2024 - Georgia (CS)
1st Section and the Liberty Rifles will be hosting this full battalion scale, hyper authentic immersive event. We'll be portraying the Army of Tennessee's 2nd Battalion, Reserve Artillery as they conducted live fire target practice outside their winter quarters at Dalton in April 1864.
WAYSIDE PROGRAM - MINUTEMAN NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK
May 25 - Lincoln, MA (US)
The Liberty Rifles have been invited by Minuteman National Historical Park to interpret the military experiences of New Englanders during the Civil War by representing both the men of the 1st Massachusetts Heavy Artillery as well as the citizens of Concord.

June 7-9, 2024 - Appomattox, VA (CS)
The Liberty Rifles have been invited by Appomattox Court House National Historical Park to partner on a living history program interpreting the forming of the Appomattox Liberty Guard in 1861 and the patriotic fervor and fledgling military logistics that defined the experiences of soldiers and civilians at the beginning of the Civil War.
GETTYSBURG BATTLE WALK
July 6, 2024 - Gettysburg, PA (CS)
The Liberty Rifles will once again conduct a Gettysburg anniversary battle walk, following in the footsteps of a Confederate company.
MANASSAS MOUNTED ARTILLERY PROGRAM
October 18-20, 2024 - Manassas, VA (US)
1st Section has been invited by Manassas National Battlefield Park to conduct a moving living history program throughout the Park interpreting Battery A, 1st Rhode Island Light Artillery following the Battle of Bristoe Station in October 1863.
REMEMBRANCE DAY
November 16, 2024 - Gettysburg, PA (US)
Once again we'll take to the battlefield to follow in the footsteps of a specific U.S. Army unit. Following our program we will join in the annual parade.
FRANKLIN 160TH ANNIVERSARY LIVING HISTORY PROGRAM
December 6-8, 2024 - Franklin, TN (CS)
Hosted by the Battle of Franklin Trust and the Independent Rifles, the Liberty Rifles will help to recreate the full scale 3rd Mississippi Infantry Regiment in 1864.
2025 Event Schedule
DEFENSE OF THE ANCIENT CITY
January 24-26, 2025 - St. Augustine, FL (US)
Hosted by the Liberty Guard, participants will represent companies of the 24th Massachusetts in garrison at St. Augustine and Fort Marion in 1864.
WINTER 1864: POINT LOOKOUT
February 21-23, 2025 - Point Lookout, MD (US)
The Liberty Rifles will once again host an immersive event recreating the garrison of Point Lookout in early 1864.
